The request
An apprentice picks a trade and sees the volunteer mentors. They send their request with their goal in a few lines.
Alumni volunteer as mentors in their field. A student or apprentice picks one, states their goal and follows a five-step programme with a shared log. Trainers suggest and follow the mentoring in their programme.
“Offer our students and apprentices a mentor from their field.”
An apprentice picks a trade and sees the volunteer mentors. They send their request with their goal in a few lines.
The mentor accepts the request, or declines it with a note. They set how many mentees they take on at a time.
The mentor offers time slots and the mentee picks one. Each completed step is marked in the programme.
The mentoring log keeps track of meetings and what was done. At the last step, the mentee writes a review, which the mentor receives.
Choose a trade, ask for a mentor, follow the programme, then switch to the mentor's side.
